Aqualawn installs Redi-Rock retaining walls for residential homes and commercial properties across the Toledo metro and surrounding region. Family-owned and based in Monclova since 2002, Aqualawn handles the wall alongside the grading, drainage, hardscape, and landscape work it usually requires — so the wall, the bed work behind it, the patio or walkway it supports, and the surrounding plantings are all planned and built on a single schedule.
Redi-Rock is a large-block precast segmental retaining wall system. The blocks interlock through a knob-and-groove mechanism, and at most residential heights the walls behave as gravity walls — they hold back the slope through the weight and interlock of the blocks themselves, without the buried footings or poured-concrete forms that traditional walls require. For taller walls or commercial loading, the system is engineered with geogrid reinforcement back into the soil mass.
Aqualawn installs Redi-Rock retaining walls (both spellings — Redi-Rock and Redi Rock — refer to the same manufacturer's system) across a range of textures and block shapes, including the Limestone and Cobblestone faces most often specified for residential and light commercial work in this region.
The most common residential uses across the Toledo metro: holding back sloped backyards, terracing a grade-change between the house and the rear lot, walling out a walkout basement, and creating raised planting beds or seating walls around a patio. On residential projects the wall is almost always part of a larger landscape conversation — what plantings sit at the base, how the wall meets the patio or walkway, where the irrigation zone for the new bed terminates.
For commercial properties: grade-change walls along parking lots and driveways, drainage walls where the property sits below adjacent grade, and landscape walls integrated with commercial planting beds. The same crew that installs residential Redi-Rock walls scales to commercial work, with engineered design where the wall height or surcharge loading calls for it.
A retaining wall is a drainage and grading project as much as it's a wall. Aqualawn plans the wall together with the grading behind it, the drainage that has to run from above the wall to somewhere safe below, and the bed lines that finish the project — so the wall doesn't end up holding back water it wasn't designed to handle.
Aqualawn covers retaining walls, hardscapes, landscaping, outdoor lighting, irrigation systems, lawn care, and snow removal under one roof. When a wall project includes a new patio above or below it, accent lighting along the face, an irrigation zone for the planting at the base, and finished bed work, those pieces are built by the same company on a single schedule.
Family-owned, Monclova-based, serving the same metro since 2002. Wall siting, drainage planning, and base preparation are calibrated to Northwest Ohio conditions — heavy clay soils that don't drain on their own, freeze-thaw cycles that punish poorly drained walls, and the seasonal water patterns that determine whether a wall stands plumb in year fifteen or starts leaning by year five.
Aqualawn installs Redi-Rock retaining walls for residential and commercial properties throughout:
If your property sits in one of these areas, retaining wall service is available alongside Aqualawn's other outdoor property services.
Retaining wall projects rarely happen in isolation. Aqualawn handles the surrounding outdoor property work in-house:
